How to order

First Choice Expedition Foods allows you to search through the many products for sale on this website. It uses a 'basket' system which gives you the opportunity to add items to and remove items from, a shopping basket/list. Once you have selected all of the required products for your order, then you can proceed to the 'checkout' where payment/delivery and other options can be chosen for your order.

To purchase anything from the website, you must be registered with the site to allow for collection of delivery information. Once registered, you will be given a 'permanent' shopping basket which will remember any items that you add to it, even after your computer is turned off. The only times that the items will be removed from the shopping basket is when an order is processed, or when you remove the items manually.

Registering

To register on the First Choice Expedition Foods website, please follow the link from the shop homepage. You will be asked to enter some personal details and a default delivery address (these can be modified at a later date). Once registration is complete, you may use all facilities available within the shop.

Searching for a product

Products can be found/browsed by clicking the departments links on the left of every page. Each departments holds products relating to that department. After clicking a department, further sub-departments may become available and can be navigated in the same way. A product list will be shown for each department allowing you to view more information about each product (by clicking the product name). Once you have viewed further information on a product, you will be able to add the item to your shopping basket.

To perform a search for a product, please use the search box at the top of any page. Enter a word that you would hope to find within the name product that you are searching for and click the 'Go' button next to the search input box. For more advanced searches, the advanced search link can be clicked. Once you have searched, results will be displayed of all the matching products. These can then be added to your basket or viewed as normal.

Using your shopping basket

To add a product to your shopping basket, first find the product you wish to purchase using the methods explained in the 'Searching for a Product' section of this information guide. Once you have the further information about your selected product on screen, you will be able to click the 'Add to Basket' button to add it to your basket. When you add a product to your basket, a default quantity of one is given unless you enter a different amount in the 'Quantity' box above the 'Add to Basket' button before you proceed with the adding of the product. Once the button has been clicked, you will be taken to your shopping basket where you can see what items/quantities you currently have within your basket. To remove items you should tick (by clicking the little checkbox next to the item) any items you wish to remove and then click the 'Update' button. To adjust quantities you should change the number in the corresponding box next to the product, then click 'Update'.

Checkout procedure

Once your basket contains all of the items you wish to purchase, you should click the 'Checkout' button located underneath your shopping basket details, or the 'Checkout' link situated towards the top of the screen. This will then begin your checkout process. You will be asked to select your delivery method/address (Selected from your address book initially) and then you should click the 'Continue' button to progress to the checkout. Next, you will be asked for your payment method and further details where required. You may also select a new invoice address if necessary. Once you have made your selections click the 'Continue' button. The final page displays all of your order details for you to check them. You may use the links provided to go back and change any details or you can click 'Confirm' to send the order to First Choice Expedition Foods. Your order number is given upon completion of the order and this should be recorded for future reference.

Order tracking

Tracking of your orders is available through the 'My Account' link on the website. Upon clicking this, you will be shown a list of your most recent orders which you can click to view the order details. The current status of the order can be viewed here. You will also receive email notification of any changes made to the order status.
