North Atlantic Kayak Challenge
 |
| Peter Bray |
The choice of food was quite important to Peter Bray's North Atlantic Kayak Challenge. One hundred days of food was needed for this solo-unsupported journey. All to be packed aboard the kayak.
Peter tried quite a few suppliers' samples before selecting a range supplied by First Choice Foods based in North Yorkshire. He found that they were easy to prepare and quite palatable. Together with the carb-boom supplied by the same company we were able to balance Peter's daily requirements of 6000 calories.
First Choice Foods are owned and run by Ian Williams, a past canoeist and a lover of the outdoors. Ian proved invaluable to us with his advice and most certainly with his personal attention to Peter's requirements.
First Choice Foods will certainly be Peter's choice for his forced second attempt at this challenge.
